If A = {1, 2, 4}, B = {2, 4, 5}, C = {2, 5}, find (A - C) x (B - C).

Correct answer: {(1, 4), (4, 4)}

Solution

A - C = {1, 2, 4} {2, 5} = {1, 4}. B - C = {2, 4, 5} {2, 5} = {4}. (A-C) x (B-C) = {1,4} x {4} = {(1,4), (4,4)}.
