ExamsIBPS POReasoning

Eight persons namely A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are sitting around a circular table, some of them facing outside and some facing inside the circular table. Note: No two persons facing the same direction sit together. A sits second to the right of B, who is an immediate neighbor of C. D is an immediate neighbor of E, who sits opposite B. H does not face outside the circle. D is neither an immediate neighbor of A nor sits opposite C. The number of persons sitting between C and G is one less than the number of persons sitting between F and C when counted from the right and left of C respectively. C is not an immediate neighbor of F. Find the odd one out.

  1. G
  2. C
  3. B
  4. E

Correct answer: C

Solution

The clues about A being second to the right of B, B being adjacent to C, and E opposite B allow a unique circular arrangement with alternating facing directions. After placing D, F, G, and H using the remaining constraints, the final configuration identifies one option that does not fit the same relational pattern as the others. That odd one out is C.
