Quantity I: 80-litre mixture with milk:water = 7:1. If 30% is removed, find remaining water. Quantity II: 7 litres.
- Quantity I > Quantity II
- Quantity I < Quantity II
- Quantity I ≥ Quantity II
- Quantity I = Quantity II or no relation can be established
Correct answer: Quantity I = Quantity II or no relation can be established
Solution
Water in mixture = 80×(1/8) = 10L. 30% of mixture removed (proportionally): water removed=0.3×10=3L. Remaining water=10-3=7L. QI=7=QII. Answer: QI=QII.
