A train covers a distance at 45 km/hr in 20 hours. If it covers the same distance in 10 hours, what is the ratio of initial to final speed?

Correct answer: 1: 2

Solution

Distance = 45×20 = 900 km. New speed = 900/10 = 90 km/h. Ratio = initial:final = 45:90 = 1:2.
