ExamsIBPS POQuantitative Aptitude

There are three numbers A, B, and C such that if we increase the value of C by 15, we get a number equal to the value of B. Also, it is known that the value of A is three times the value of C. If the value of A is twice the value of B, then find the difference between the values of A and C.

  1. 60
  2. 45
  3. 30
  4. 75

Correct answer: 60

Solution

Let \(B=C+15\), \(A=3C\), and also \(A=2B\). Substituting gives \(3C=2(C+15)\), so \(C=30\) and \(A=90\). Therefore, the difference between \(A\) and \(C\) is \(90-30=60\).
