Correct answer: the p^+n junction

Solution

In a reverse-biased abrupt p-n junction, the electric field is zero at the depletion edges and maximum at the junction interface. For a \(p^+n\) junction, the peak still occurs at the junction because the field is strongest where the depletion regions meet.
