A sector of a circle of radius 20 cm has a central angle of 60°. Another sector of the same circle has an angle of \(\pi/3\) radians. What is the ratio of their areas?
- 1:1
- 1:2
- 2:3
- 3:4
Correct answer: 1:1
Solution
The two sectors have the same radius and the same central angle, just expressed in different units. Since sector area is proportional to the angle when radius is fixed, their areas are equal.
