Solution

Innermost: 1 - 1/4 = 3/4; times 1/2 = 3/8; plus 1/8 = 1/2. Then 3/4 / 1/2 = 3/2. Finally 7 - 3/2 = 11/2... rechecking the division yields 7 - 3/2 = 11/2; however with 3/4 / (1/2) = 3/2 the value is 11/2.
