A particle moves in a circle of radius 5 cm with constant speed and time period \(0.2\pi\) s. The acceleration of the particle is:
- 15 m/s\(^2\)
- 25 m/s\(^2\)
- 36 m/s\(^2\)
- 5 m/s\(^2\)
Correct answer: 25 m/s\(^2\)
Solution
For uniform circular motion, centripetal acceleration is \(a = \frac{4\pi^2 r}{T^2}\). With \(r = 0.05\,\text{m}\) and \(T = 0.2\pi\,\text{s}\), the value comes out to \(25\,\text{m/s}^2\).
