Study the following information carefully and answer the question given below: Nine people A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I were born in different months March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November of the same year (but not necessarily in the same order). Three people were born between F and the one who was born in July, and B was born before H but in a month having 30 days. No one was born between F and A. Three people were born between A and H. Correct answer: Both I and II
Solution
The month positions can be arranged uniquely by using the fixed gaps of three people between pairs and the restriction that B must be in a 30-day month before H. This leads to B being in April and exactly one person between D and C, while G is not necessarily after F. Hence statements I and II are true.
