If 2 is added in successive terms of a series starting with the nearest prime of P, then find the 5th term of this new series

  1. 67
  2. 65
  3. 69
  4. 63

Correct answer: 67

Solution

The missing term in the first series is 60, so the nearest prime numbers around it are 59 and 61. Starting from 59 and adding 2 each time gives 59, 61, 63, 65, 67, so the 5th term is 67.
