A boat can travel at a speed of 13 km/h in still water. If the speed of the stream is 4 km/h, find the time taken by the boat to go 68 km downstream.

Solution

Downstream speed = 13 + 4 = 17 km/h. Time taken = distance/speed = 68/17 = 4 hours. So the correct answer is 4 hours.
