A person distributed his salary among 3 children A, B and C in the ratio 5: 4: 7 respectively. If C received ₹34,300, then find the total amount the person had.

Solution

A:B:C = 5:4:7. Total parts = 16. C gets 7 parts = ₹34,300. Each part = 34300/7 = ₹4900. Total = 16 × 4900 = ₹78,400.
