Simplify: \((18 + 6) \div 3 + (5 \times 2)\)

Solution

Use BODMAS: first evaluate the brackets, then division and multiplication, and finally addition. \((18+6)=24\), so \(24\div 3=8\); also \(5\times 2=10\). Adding them gives \(8+10=18\).
