The perimeter of a rectangle is 48 cm. If its length is 14 cm, what is its breadth?

Solution

For a rectangle, perimeter = 2(length + breadth). So, 48 = 2(14 + b), which gives 24 = 14 + b and b = 10 cm. Therefore, the breadth is 10 cm.
