In a circle, a chord PQ subtends an angle of 50° at point R on the circumference. What is the angle it subtends at point S on the circumference, on the same side as R?

Correct answer: 50°

Solution

By the theorem of angles in the same segment, the angle subtended by a chord at the circumference is equal for points on the same side of the chord. Therefore, the angle at S is also 50°.
