Solution

The two taps fill at rates of \(1/6\) and \(1/4\) tub per minute, while the pipe empties at \(1/3\) tub per minute. Net rate = \(1/6 + 1/4 - 1/3 = 1/12\) tub per minute. So the tub will be full in 12 minutes.
