ExamsSSC CGL (Prelims)General

A statement is given followed by two conclusions. Find which conclusion is true. Statement: $P \ge Q$; $R = S \le T$; $Q \ge R$; $T \ge P$. Conclusions: I. $P \ge R$ II. $S \le Q$

  1. Either I or II
  2. Both I and II
  3. Only II
  4. Neither I nor II

Correct answer: Both I and II

Solution

From $P \ge Q$ and $Q \ge R$, we get $P \ge R$, so Conclusion I follows. Also, since $R = S$ and $Q \ge R$, it follows that $Q \ge S$, or equivalently $S \le Q$, so Conclusion II follows.
