Choose the correct values of P and Q such that the relationship between the letter-cluster pair on the left holds on the right as well. P : ORW :: RUZ : Q
- P = UYD Q = KNS
- P = VYD Q = LNS
- P = VYD Q = KNS
- P = VYD Q = KNK
Correct answer: P = VYD Q = KNS
Solution
The pattern is: each letter in the left cluster is increased by 7 positions to produce the right cluster (wrapping A-Z as circular). O(15)+7=V(22), R(18)+7=Y(25), W(23)+7=D(30 mod 26=4). So P=VYD. Conversely, the right cluster is obtained from the left by +7, so Q is RUZ shifted by: R-7=K, U-7=N, Z-7=S, giving Q=KNS.
