ExamsSSC CGL (Prelims)General

Read the statements and decide which conclusion(s) logically follow. Statements: A >= B < C = D > E ; C >= F. Conclusions: I. B < D II. F <= D

  1. Only conclusion I follows
  2. Only conclusion II follows
  3. Both conclusions I and II follow
  4. Neither conclusion I nor II follows

Correct answer: Both conclusions I and II follow

Solution

From B < C and C = D we get B < D, so I is true. From C >= F (i.e. F <= C) and C = D we get F <= D, so II is true. Hence both follow.
