Three of the following number triplets follow one common rule. Pick the triplet that breaks the pattern.

Correct answer: 5 : 25 : 125
Solution
The common rule is n, n^2, n^4. For 4 it gives 4,16,256; for 3 it gives 3,9,81; for 6 it gives 6,36,1296. But 5,25,125 is 5, 5^2, 5^3, so it is the odd one out.
