Solution
The compound 'X' is CaCO3. On heating, it decomposes to give CO2 and CaO. CaO reacts with water to form Ca(OH)2 ('Y'). Passing excess CO2 through Ca(OH)2 forms Ca(HCO3)2 ('Z'), which reverts to CaCO3 ('X') on boiling.
