Find the value of log_(sqrt(5)+1) (6 + 2*sqrt(5)).
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
Correct answer: 2
Solution
(sqrt(5)+1)² = 5 + 2*sqrt(5) + 1 = 6 + 2*sqrt(5), so log_(sqrt(5)+1)(6+2*sqrt(5)) = log_(sqrt(5)+1)((sqrt(5)+1)²) = 2.
