Let a circle C touch the lines L 1 : 4x – 3y + K 1 = 0 and L 2 : 4x – 3y + K 2 = 0, K 1 , K 2 ∈ R . If a line passing through the centre of the circle C intersects L 1 at (–1, 2) and L 2 at (3, –6), then the equation of the circle C is :
- (x – 1) 2 + (y – 2) 2 = 4
- (x + 1) 2 + (y – 2) 2 = 4
- (x – 1) 2 + (y + 2) 2 = 16
- (x – 1) 2 + (y – 2) 2 = 16
Correct answer: (x – 1) 2 + (y + 2) 2 = 16
