What is the volume strength of a 1 M solution of H2O2? (Molar mass of H2O2 = 34 g/mol.)
- 16.8
- 11.35
- 22.4
- 5.6
Correct answer: 11.35
Solution
Each mole of H2O2 releases 0.5 mol O2 = 11.2 L at STP, so 1 M H2O2 has volume strength 1*11.2 approx 11.35 ('11.2 volume').
