At every interior point the current-density vector makes a 60 deg angle with the unit area-vector of the cross-section. Determine the magnitude of the electric field at each point of the conductor. (Resistivity of magnesium rho = 44 * 10⁻⁸ ohm-m)

Accepted Answer

11 * 10⁻⁵ V/m. Using J = I/(A cos60) and E = rho*J gives a field of about 1.1 * 10⁻⁴ V/m.
