Correct answer: (A) I < III < IV < II

Solution

Stability order of alkenes: tetrasubstituted > trisubstituted > disubstituted > monosubstituted. Here II is tetrasubstituted (most stable), IV is trisubstituted, while I and III are disubstituted. Among the disubstituted ones, the internal/more symmetric trend places I lowest, giving the increasing order I < III < IV < II.
