Direction: Read the following information carefully and answer the given question. Eight persons Varun, Pinku, Kabir, Fane, Avi, Seema, Rohan, and Ena are sitting in a circle. Some are facing the center and some are facing opposite to the center. The number of persons facing the center is less than the number of persons facing opposite to the center. Seema is facing the center. Varun sits second to the right of Seema. Two persons sit between Varun and Pinku. The immediate neighbors of Pinku are facing the opposite direction to Pinku. Ena sits second to the left of Pinku. Ena is not an immediate neighbor of Varun. Rohan is not a neighbor of Pinku and Ena. Kabir sits second to the right of Rohan. Avi is not an immediate neighbor of Ena. Which of the following statements is false according to the given arrangement? I. Rohan is sitting second to the right of Pinku. II. Kabir and Varun are facing the same direction. III. The immediate neighbor of Avi is facing the same direction as Avi.

2. Both I and II

Correct answer: Only III

Solution

The circular arrangement can be completed uniquely using the positional clues and facing directions. In the final arrangement, statements I and II are true, while statement III is false because Avi's immediate neighbors do not both face the same way as Avi. Hence only III is false.
