Solution
Let Q be at (0,0). Then R is at (8,0), so X is midway at (4,0). Also, P is at (0,4), W is 8 km south of P, so W is at (0,-4), V is 4 km west of W, so V is at (-4,-4), and S is 12 km east of V, so S is at (8,-4). From X(4,0) to S(8,-4), S lies to the south-east of X.
