ExamsIBPS POReasoning

There are six family members A, B, C, D, E and F, and all of them are of different ages. A is younger than only one person. E is older than B and D but not as old as A. D is older than only one person. F is the youngest in the family. The age of D is 25 years and the age of the person who is second oldest is 40 years. Question: Who is the oldest in the family?

  1. A
  2. B
  3. C
  4. E

Correct answer: C

Solution

F is the youngest, and D is older than only one person, so D is second youngest. A is younger than only one person, so A is second oldest. Since E is older than B and D but younger than A, E must be in the middle. That leaves C as the oldest.
