ExamsIBPS POReasoning

In each of the following questions, assuming the given statements to be true, find which of the two conclusions I and II given below is/are definitely true and give your answer accordingly. Statements: 0 ≥ B = X < Q ≤ P < F > L ≥ Z Conclusions: I. F > B II. X < L

  1. If only conclusion I is true
  2. If only conclusion II is true
  3. If either conclusion I or II is true
  4. If neither conclusion I nor II is true

Correct answer: If only conclusion I is true

Solution

From the statement, B = X < Q ≤ P < F, so F is definitely greater than B. However, X < L cannot be concluded because L is only known to be less than F and greater than or equal to Z; its relation with X is not fixed. Hence only conclusion I follows.
