If there are 3 alphabets in English alphabetical series between alphabets written against numbers 10 and 22, then how many alphabets in English alphabetical series are there between the alphabets written against numbers 18 and 22?
- Three
- Five
- One
- Four
Correct answer: One
Solution
Numbers 10 to 22: gap = 12 in the number sequence, and 3 alphabets are between the corresponding code letters. So every 4-unit gap in number = 1 alphabet gap. From 18 to 22: gap = 4 → 1 alphabet between.
