ExamsIBPS POReasoning

Eight persons, namely M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, and T, buy products one by one but not necessarily in the same order. M bought the product immediately before Q. O bought the product immediately after R. S did not buy the product either first or last. Two persons bought the product between O and M. One person bought the product between M and S. P bought the product just before T. N and M do not buy the product adjacent to each other. Which of the following statements is/are true? I. T buys before O II. S buys just after Q III. More than two persons buy the product between O and Q

  1. Only II
  2. Both I and III
  3. Both II and III
  4. Only I

Correct answer: Only I

Solution

Using the clues, a valid order can be formed in which M is immediately before Q, O is immediately after R, and there are two persons between O and M. This forces T to come before O, while the other two statements do not hold in the valid arrangement. Hence, only statement I is true.
