ExamsIBPS POReasoning

Seven persons A, B, C, M, N, O and P are sitting in a row facing north, not necessarily in the same order. - N sits third from an extreme end. - C sits immediately to the right of P. - Only one person sits between P and M. - P sits second to the left of N. - B is not an immediate neighbor of N and A. - The number of persons to the right of A is the same as the number of persons to the left of O. Who sits third to the right of M?

  1. P
  2. N
  3. C
  4. O

Correct answer: C

Solution

N must be at position 3 or 5. Since P is second to the left of N, the valid placement gives P and then C immediately to its right. Using the one-person gap between P and M fixes M, and counting three places to the right of M gives C.
