Eight people P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W are sitting around a circular table, but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing the centre and some are facing away from the centre. (If one person is facing the centre, then the other person is also facing the centre; if one person is facing away from the centre, then the other person is also facing away from the centre.) S sits second to the left of Q. Q does not face the centre. P and U are immediate neighbours of S. W sits second to the right of P. R sits third to the left of W. T sits immediate right of V. S sits third to the left of T. S faces the same direction as W. U sits on the immediate right of R. U and V face the same direction as P. Which of the following statements is correct?

Correct answer: P sits immediate left of Q
Solution
The clues determine a unique circular arrangement with directions. After placing S relative to Q and using the constraints involving P, U, W, R, T, and V, the only statement that remains true is that P sits immediately left of Q.
