ExamsIBPS POReasoning

There are seven persons namely A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. They are all sitting in a row facing north. G sits second from one of the ends. E has an equal number of persons to his left and right. F sits at the extreme left end of the row. There are three persons between F and B. A sits immediately to the right of C. A does not sit at an extreme end. Who is sitting third from the right end?

  1. D
  2. B
  3. E
  4. A

Correct answer: B

Solution

Since F is at the extreme left, B must be four places away from F, so B is at position 5. E has equal persons on both sides, so E is in the middle at position 4. G is second from an end, so G is at position 2. The remaining positions 3 and 6 must be C and A respectively, leaving D at position 7. The third from the right end is position 5, which is B.
