1. Some football players play cricket. 2. All cricket players play hockey. Among the options given below, the statement that logically follows from the two statements 1 and 2 above, is:

1. No football player plays hockey.
2. Some football players play hockey.
3. All football players play hockey.
4. Some hockey players play football.

Correct answer: Some football players play hockey.

Solution

The correct option is valid because if some football players play cricket and all cricket players play hockey, then it logically follows that those football players who play cricket must also play hockey.
